Plants - after 6 weeks

Our beans and tomatoes have really grown now that Spring is here and the weather is warming up. The tomato plant has grown SO tall that we even had to add another piece of paper to the top of the graph that we are keeping in class. (Come in and look at the graph one day!)

1T got to "munch and crunch" in class this week - we 'harvested' and ate the first of our radishes!

We are making predictions as to how tall the plants will be, and what changes we will notice after the holidays.

On the left is the bean seed we have been                 .

growing in the light. On the right is the bean

seed that has been growing in the dark.                         The beans and radishes growing on the verandah

About to taste-test the radishes.                                             Not sure if we like them or not.....

Some boys and girls thought the radishes were a bit peppery.

At least everyone tried the radishes!                                          Alaa may not try them again, though.
